Commute Tunes: No commute this morning. But it’s supposed to be a beautiful day, so I might need to get outside for a while, and music is my best friend.

Something I’m looking forward to today: A coaches meeting with the coaches on my baseball team.

Something I’m looking forward to in the next seven days: My bi-weekly space trip.

Something I’m grateful for from yesterday: Getting a shout-out at work during the team’s town hall meeting.

What I’m writing: Yesterday’s two crappy pages involved just some journaling and some News Nuggies.

What I’ve written: I love stumbling upon old articles I wrote. The interwebs are an amazing place. New Life for Old Minnick’s Market. I have no recollection of ever writing this story!

I find myself saying, “What the actual fuck?” a lot lately. For example:

Delta airlines says it is going to sue Crowdstrike because of that little global internet meltdown it says cost the company $500 million. Yes, Crowdstrike screwed up, but Delta was the last airline to get its shit back together, largely because it’s IT infrastructure … was based on Windows 98!
Elon Musk declared “war” on advertisers, alleging that his personal social media platform is somehow the victim of some nefarious plot by major advertisers. His personal biatch CEO Linda Yaccarino said a boycott is “illegal.” Since when were companies mandated to advertise anywhere, let alone on a social media platform very few major brands should want to be associated with? X ad review is expected to be $2 billion this year, down from $4.5 billion in 2021.
Florida International University approved a deal giving naming rights for its football stadium to … Pitbull. The rapper is going to pay $1.2 mission per year for the next five years to have his name slapped on the stadium. On top of that, the deal, which totals $6 million, also required Pitbull to produce an anthem for the school and 12 social post each year from Pitbull himself. In addition to the money, Pitbull also will get to use the stadium (for what?) 10 days every year, and his vodka company will be the stadium’s preferred distributor.

As I said … WTF?
